Yorkshire Lasses is fit for purpose as it is similar to the traditional soap opera TV shows. I think that the intend target audience for the show would be happy to watch the show because there are many aspects of the show that can be relatable to their own lives and especially the character of the show. The show would be best scheduled for after the watershed so any time from 9pm onwards and this is because some of the content in the show would be inappropriate for children to see and only teens and adults would understand some of the situations that are present in the show. Also, there are a number of soap operas that shown at that time.
From looking at all of the rushes they show that we have followed the conventions of a drama/soap opera. It shows the purpose as these rushes convey soap opera and there conventions such as the camera work. The close up shots in the show fit the genre because they capture the emotions of all the characters. The shot reverse shots in Yorkshire Lasses show a conversation between two people, from this you can read the situation, like if there is tension or intimacy between the two. This also fits the genre of a teen drama as it includes some of the lives teens and their attitude. In terms of mise-en-scene we used high key lighting to connote that it was day time, this is also used to show mood at a particular scene like in the nail bar where it is quite friendly and relaxed. Background music was also used in Yorkshire lasses and this was to help connote the mood, one example of this is in the nail bar. The music is not is quite upbeat and not too prominent.
